Mrs. Doris V. Thompson, age 72, of Richmond, departed this life on August 18, 2025. She is preceded in death by one son, David Foster. 

She is survived by her husband, David Thompson; one daughter, Tonya Parker; five sons, Gregory Solomon, Dewayne Foster(Tracy), George Stevens, Michael Stevens and Andre Harris; a host of grand and great grandchildren; three brothers, Leon Solomon, Jerry Lee Solomon (Marilyn) and Claude Lewis(Deborah); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; mother- in -law, Lora Thompson; sister- in- law, Carolyn Solomon; two brothers -in- law, Henry Thompson (Janet) and Lewis Thompson(Darlene); other relatives and friends, among them two devoted, Victor Herbert and Ronnie West.

 Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00am, at Sixth Baptist Church, 400 S. Addison Street, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Dr. Yvonne Bibbs (Pastor) officiating. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45am on Thursday.
