Doris L. Vaniel, age 90, of McKeesport, died September 8, 2025, at Kane Community Living Center. Born June 13, 1935, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Hritsko) Rogers and the wife of the late Robert Vaniel.

A proud graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Doris forged a career as a commercial artist. She held a degree in mechanical engineering and earned her realtor's license, showcasing her diverse interests and commitment to lifelong learning. Throughout her life, Doris remained devoted to her faith, actively participating as a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish and the Ladies of Charity, where she touched many lives with her kindness. She found joy in icon painting, tending to her garden, and crafting intricate crochet creations.

She is survived by children: Carol Bray, Patricia (Derek) Webb and David (Alicia) Vaniel; grandchildren, Erin Bray, Erica (the late Eric) Hanna, Destinee Webb, Derek Webb, Devin (Tori) Webb, Dominique Webb, Dante Vaniel, and Dylan Vaniel; great-grandchildren, Tiara (Trey) Weiler, Brianna Bray, Christopher Parker, Jasmine Hanna, Amya Webb, Santana Webb, Alianna Johnson, Isaiah Webb, Bella Webb, Haunjae Webb, Mackenzie Webb, Devin Webb, Jr., and Delaney Kyne; great-great-granddaughter, Ezra Weiler; and sister, Susan Kraynak. Preceded in death by brothers: William Rodgers, Bernard Rogers, Michael Rogers and sisters Eileen Rogers and Elizabeth Johnson.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. The burial will follow at St. Mary German Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
