Mrs. Doris Walden, age 80 of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of LaFollette, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. She was a beloved member of Broadway Community Church of God in Ft. Myers where she was an active member of the Ladies Ministry, and attended LaFollette Church of God while in TN. Doris served as a Guidance Secretary with Lee County Schools for over 20 years and always enjoyed having a good meal with her friends in Florida and Tennessee. Preceded in death by Husband, Elzo “Bob” Walden, Parents, Luther and Daisy (Hance) Daniels.
She is survived by Son, Justin Walden; Grandsons, Hunter, Benjamin, and Tyler Walden; Brother, L.T. Daniels; Sister, Jane Ann Lavender and Husband, David, Special Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Ruben and Frankie Walden; Dear friend, Sherry Middleton; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to begin at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, October 19, 2024, 10:00 AM at Powell Valley Cemetery for Graveside Services and Interment. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Doris Walden.
