LACONIA ---- Doris Mae (Heller) Wentworth, 99, of Ledges Drive, passed away peacefully at Ledgeview nursing facility at The Taylor Community in Laconia on Friday, July 19, 2024.
Doris was born on May 2, 1925, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of John and Rose (Schlecht) Heller.
She lived a life filled with joy, love and adventure. She had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life that was infectious. She loved to dance and sing, filling every room she entered with music and laughter. Summers were spent boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and enjoying Gilford Beach. There were many family cookouts with wonderful food including corn on the cob, steamers and lobster. During the winter months, Doris embraced the warmth of Pinellas Park, FL.
Doris will be remembered for her boundless energy, positive attitude and love for her family.
Doris is survived by her daughter Sally Wool (Alan), of Laconia, NH and a son Douglas Wentworth, of Sanbornton, NH; four grandchildren: Amy Kettell (Michael), of Plainville, MA, Jason Wool, of Laconia, NH, Keith Wentworth (Stephanie), of Laconia, NH, and Scott Wentworth (Heather), of Escondido, CA; and five great-grandchildren: Mya Kettell, of Plainville, MA, Rhys and Warner Wentworth, of Laconia, NH, and Ellery and Lindy-Jo Wentworth, of Escondido, CA. Family was everything to her.
Doris was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Crawford S. 'Casey' Wentworth (1998).
At this time there will be no services. Burial will be in the family plot in Exter, NH.
