Doris Wetherholt

Mrs. Doris Jean Owmby Thompson Wetherholt, 88, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025. She was born October 17, 1936 in Sevier County, Tennessee to the late Baus Owmby and Mittie Whaley Owmby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Thompson; her second husband, Rev. Cecil Wetherholt; five sisters, and one brother. She is survived by her sons, Randy (Kay) Thompson, Phil (Dawn) Thompson; step-children, David (Cathy) Wetherholt, Glenda (Brad) Hinshaw, Amy Wetherholt; grandchildren, Levi (Kayla) Thompson, Lora Hardy, Cameron Phillips (fiancée Jackie); step-grandchildren, Renee Hutchins, Steve Hutchins. Mrs. Wetherholt will be available for viewing from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM, Friday, January 10, 2025 and Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends, Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Valley View Baptist Church, 2219 Little Cove Rd, Sevierville, TN 37862. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM at the church. Graveside service will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Owmby Family Cemetery, 2219 Little Cove Rd, Sevierville, TN 37862.
