Dorothy Lee Anderson was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born on July 27, 1937, in Donaldsonville, LA, and lived to be 88 years old.

In August 1957, she married her beloved husband of 56 years, Joseph Isiah Anderson, who passed away in 2013. Together they had nine children, three of whom died a birth - a daughter Yvonne and twin boys, Ronald and Donald. Dorothy was a wonderful hairdresser and the caretaker of her entire family. She was also a gifted cook, known far and wide for her famous gumbo, which everyone who knew her loved and cherished.

Most importantly, Dorothy dedicated her life to serving Jehovah. She was baptized as one of the Jehovah's Witnesses in 1980 and remained a faithful servant of Jehovah in the Mary Esther congregation. She had the privilege of serving alongside her six living children and 15 grandchildren, setting an example of love and faith that will never be forgotten.

Those surviving family members who will always love her dearly and look forward to seeing her again in Paradise include: Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren:

• Denise Renee McGregor, preceded in death by her husband Tyrone McGregor, children Helayna and husband Luis, Hillary and Hollis.
