Dorothy Ann Wiesepape, 88, passed away on November 10, 2025 at Kruse Nursing Home in Brenham. A visitation for Dorothy will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 with the family present. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m, Friday, November 14, 2025,. at St. John's Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Dorothy was born on February 26, 1937 in Brenham, TX to Herbert Otto Schulze, Sr. and Ruby Westerfeld Schulze. On July 17, 1955 she was united in marriage to James Herbert Wiesepape in St. John's Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Once her children were all in school, Dorothy went to work outside the home. She worked at Montgomery Ward and then for twenty years at Brenham State School as a Teacher-Educational Aide, until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a member of the Washington Extension Education Association, and a volunteer in the local hospital gift shop.
Dorothy embraced and tackled wholeheartedly any new project or hobby that caught her fancy -- taking pictures, sewing, cooking, crocheting, researching and documenting family history, to name a few. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Pat Majewski, sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Linda Wiesepape and Craig and Sherry Wiesepape. Also surviving are grandchildren Shannon Wiesepape, Kelly (Kevin) Boeker, Chad (Kassey) Wiesepape, Jamie Wiesepape, Ryan (Megan) Majewski, Joshua Wiesepape, and Heather (Phil) Myers. Great-grandchildren include Victoria Wiesepape, Christian Wiesepape, Hunter Myers, Camron Wiesepape, Presley Myers, Kori Boeker, Easton Myers, Teal Majewski, Remi Boeker, Molli Boeker, Madi Wiesepape, Emma Wiesepape and Anderly Majewski. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Delores Schulze; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Jean Wiesepape and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Ruby and Herbert Schulze, Sr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Ella Wiesepape; husband, James Wiesepape; sister, Doris Kuhlmann Daniels; brother, Howard "Butch" Schulze; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Floreen Schulze; and niece, Susan Kuhlmann.
Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Those wishing to honor Dorothy's memory with a memorial can do so to the St. John's Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill.
