Dorothy Mary Katherine Levey Bailey, 83 years old, passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2025 with her children by her side. She was born on June 16,1942 in Ansonia, Ct daughter of the late Esther L. Dinkins Levey and Richard B. Levey,Sr.

She worked at Simonetti Cleaners in Shelton, CT for forty years until retirement. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and a strong Christian Women of God; with an unwavering faith.

Dorothy or "Dot's" home was a welcoming haven for many. She was known for ministering through providing food and shelter to others. She was the true definition of a Christian, a worshiper through difficulties of life, she learned to depend on GOD.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory, her son Maurice J.M. Levey and his beautiful partner Christine, her daughter Rosalind Denise Levey and her four grandchildren Rasheem and Malik Ashe, Seth and Lyliana Levey.

Dot also leaves brothers; Leroy Lancaster(Florida), Emeritus Superintendent Samuel Levey, Richard Levey(Mary), James Levey, Elder Matthew Levey(Lori), Frank Levey along with sisters Clara Levey, Supervisor Esther Jones, Earlina Robinson(Virginia) and Uncle Frank Dinkins(Pennsylvania).

She also leaves a host of extended family, her personal caregiver of the last five years, Stephanie Smith, along with others who assisted in caring for her. And a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dot was predeceased by her brother's Roger and Ronald Levey, along withher sisters Alma Levey, Gail Levey and Evelyn Webster.

Dorothy will be missed but never forgotten. Her memories will be forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers donate to Smilow Cancer Center through the link below.
