Dottie was a lovely lady, and I always enjoyed being in her presence. Regardless of our subject, Dottie eventually turned our discussion to baseball - especially the Cardinals. Dottie was proud of growing up in south St. Louis. She reminisced about her fun times at south side landmarks. God has taken a gracious Catholic lady. May He now give her eternal happiness.

I called her a few months ago when I was trying to catch up with some of Hellman family members. I was married to Dan Hellman MD., her cousin who passed away in 1979. So glad that I got to speak with her! My condolences to all who knew her and loved her. She is with Our Lord.

Elmer found his perfect complement in Dottie. She loved to brag, tongue in cheek, about her "all-Ph.D. family." If anyone were to pull a prank at an April 1 funeral, I wouldn't put it past her.

We're so sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. I knew her through her son John, and know what a special woman she was and that she will be missed. Love to everyone in the family.
