Dorothy M. (Wood) Burchard, 95, of Gillett, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 22, 1930, in Sandy Hook, CT, she was the daughter of John and Edith (Andraws) Wood, Sr.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter Bonnie (Mark) Rightmire, of Gillett, son Stanley Burchard, of Belleview, Fl., grandchildren: Dorothy (Greg) Smith, Robert (Marlene) Burchard, Jeremie Burchard, Justin (Margaret) Burchard, Kira Burchard, Gregory (Jessi) Rightmire, Brittany Rightmire, and Abi (Nicholas) Knight, great grandchildren: Briana (Joseph) Griffin, Shayna Cornish, Justin Cornish, Shawn Burchard, Paris Burchard, Katie Belle Burchard, Kadence Burchard, Keshaun Gorham, Quavel Bythwood, Mora Rightmire, Isla Rightmire, Cyndall Castle, Cillian Castle, Angel Baby Rowan, Sophia Rightmire, great-great grandchildren: Mason Thorneley, Jeremy Thorneley, Jaxson Thorneley, Colton Griffin, Cooper Griffin, Zackary Cornish, Olivia Cornish, Ruby Cornish, Claire Cornish, Ella Cornish, Zenni Burchard. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Robert Burchard, Shirley Burchard, and her sister Florence.
Keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no service. The Burchard family has entrusted Dorothy’s arrangements to the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsburg, NY.
