Dorothy Irene Carr, 82, of Mc Henry, passed away on June 24, 2025, at her home. Born on May 13, 1943, in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Arthur T. and Ileta (Glotfelty) Peck.
Dorothy, a Southern High School graduate, took pride in being a homemaker and nurturing her family. She was an active member of Grace Brethren Church, finding comfort in her faith. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved the laughter-filled "Cousins Get Together" events. Dorothy enjoyed her art, painting, and cooking homemade meals, which brought joy to those around her.
She is survived by her children, Gregory Lynn Carr and wife Robin of Mc Henry, Scott Allen Carr and wife Shelly of Accident, and Lisa Marie Ferrell and husband John of Swanton; grandchildren, Chad Carr and wife Jessie, Corey Carr and wife Jessica, Nick Ferrell, Daniel Carr and wife Jessica, Paige Wotring and husband Tony, Samantha Beck and husband Josh, Christina Ferrell and partner Jennifer Harden, Bryan Ferrell and wife Kylie, Shawn Carr and partner Morgan Matthews, and Alexia Leigh and husband Kellin; great grandchilden, Bently Ferrell, Karmyn Ferrell, Finley Carr, Trent Carr, Emma Carr, Jace Beck, Shiloh Beck, Colby Beck, Sloan Beck, Callie Beck, Ryder Wotring, Brock Wotring, Harper Wotring, Kallor Wotring, Trip Wotring, Scotty Wotring, Kyra Opel, Josie Carr, Stestson Leigh, Luke Carr, and Gabriella Whipkey; siblings, Bobby Peck, Mary Jane Spear and husband Bill, Cindy Greely and husband Roger; and a daughter in law, Betty Carr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Carr, to whom she was married on March 31, 1961; her son, Robert Eugene Carr; and her brother, Kenneth Peck; and sisters in law, Carol Peck and Barb Peck
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Ron Rosner officiating. Interment will follow in the Creekside Prayer Chapel Cemetery.
