Dorothy A. "Dot" Creech, 81, of Marietta, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Born July 21, 1943 in Decatur, GA to the late Emanuel and Clara Mote, she had lived in Marietta for 53 years. Dot retired as a Service Representative for AT&T following 35 years of service. She enjoyed the beach, mountains, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. She attended Town Center Community Church and was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Bost; and brothers, Lawrence Mote, Robert Mote, and Jack Mote.
Surviving are her children, Troy Creech, Ball Ground, Tamara and John Wood, Clarkesville; grandchildren, Dustin and Jessica Rogers, Cody and Casey Leatherwood, Alexandria and Jonathan Fuqua, Savannah and Dillon Brewster, Maxwell Turcotte, Gabrielle Turcotte, Cade Creech; great grandchildren, Willow Fuqua, Josephine Fuqua, Leigh Rogers, Paisley Brewster, Ella Leatherwood, Titus Leatherwood; and a sister, Helen Robertson, Mansfield.
A celebration of life for Dot will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 3 o'clock at the Gaithers United Methodist Church in Covington. Rev. Andy Parker will officiate.
Flowers may be sent to Gaithers United Methodist Church or donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
