Dorothy Dean Bush, bon on November 23, 1937, in Belle Allen Alabama was Ushered into
to the arms of Jesus on October 2 nd, 2025 @ 10:02 p.m.
Maw Maw to everyone loved the Lord, her family, church family and friends.
She was a member of Caffee Junction Church of God for over 50 years and served faithfully
in the Choir, Ladies Ministries and Childrens Church.
Maw Maw is surived by her two children Gloria Bush, and Cynthia Bush of McCalla,
Alabama and a sister, Tommie Liddle from Eddingstown, Alabama.
Dorothy has seven grandchildren, Jessica {Paul} Combst, Jonathan Bush, Bradley nix,
Lindsey {Josh} Morrison, Corey {Brett} Morison, Chase Porteous, And Chris {Jennifer}
Porteous, eleven great grandchildren, Skyler Hernandez, Darcy Nix, Ava, Mia Combs,
Grady Morrison, Cooper, Jolie Morrison, Landon, Eden Bush, Raylan, Norah Porteous.
Dorothy is proceeded in death by her mother, Girtie Louise Hicks and Father, James
William Sewell, husband Dewey E. Bush, son Ricky E. Bush and daughter Rhonda
Dunnam Hudson and a very special brother-in-law, Billie George Liddle Sr. Dorothy
attended West Blocton High School and was a member of the high school band. Dorothy
married Dewey E. Bush on October 20th, 1952, where she chose to be a wife and
homemaker and what a wonderful home she made.
The Celebration of Life Service to honor Dorothy will be held, Saturday, October 11th,
2025, at Caffee Junction Church of God, 21231 Highway 11 North, McCalla, Al. 35111 at
3:00 P.m. - 4:00 p.m. visitation with family, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. service will begin. There
will be no graveside service at this time.
