James Edward Copeland Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
found eternal rest following a difficult battle with cancer. He passed away in his home in
Maytown, Alabama. James loved Jesus, his family, his church and his dog, Chester. He loved
his coworkers at the Jefferson County Department of Health, where he worked for over 20
years. He loved Indian Creek Youth Camp, going fishing, eating good food, and Alabama
football. James is survived by his daughters Jessica (Heath) Clement, Jamie (Erin) Ableson,
his mother, Jean Copeland, his brother Jason (Traci) Copeland, his mother-in-law Mary Sue
Knight and his greatest earthly joy, his grandchildren: Liam Clement, Victoria Aiken, Michael
Clement, and Charlotte Abelson. He is preceded in death by his wife Amy, his son Joey, and
his father James Copeland, Sr. Memorial services will be held at Sylvan Springs Church of
Christ on Birmingport Road in Sylvan Springs Alabama on Sunday, September 14th at 4pm.
