Tupelo- Dorothy “Dot” Jean Beasley passed away peacefully, November 17, 2025, at inpatient hospice care at Union County Hospital.

She was born April 22, 1937. Her father passed away at an early age, she was raised by her mother Ruth Boudreaux in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended catholic school and was taught by nuns. She later was baptized in the Baptist faith.

During her younger years she enjoyed fishing with her friends, Mona, Lottie, and Bonnie. She was a championship bowler, winning many local and state awards with her gold bowling ball, which was one of a kind at the time.

Dot was always late for everything, so if she shows up later for her funeral, don’t be surprised.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Sneed and her husband, Martin; grandsons, Shawn McMillian and Kodi McMillian; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth McMillian, Nicholas McMillian, Michael McMillian, Piper McMillian, and Easton McMillian; great-great-grandson, Joseph Pierce; sister-in-laws, Larue Beasley and Ann Beasley; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Beasley, who passed September 27, 2023, on their 70th wedding anniversary; mother, Ruth Boudreaux; sister, Betty Allnet; brother-in-law, Andrew Allnet; and nephew, Andy Allnet.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Bro. David Bodehimer officiating. A graveside service will follow at Tupelo Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Jerry King, Terry Beasley, Jason Beasley, Jimmy Beasley, Karl Beasley, and Scott Beasley.

An honorary pallbearer will be Kim Beasley Shelton.

The family would like to thank the resident assistants and nurses at Mitchell Center for their care of Dot. They would also like to express their thanks to Gentiva Hospice Care and their nurses.
