Dorothy M. Dyer

Dorothy M. (Kenyon) Dyer, formerly Scharmann, of Westfield, MA passed away peacefully on April 9th at the age of 98. She was a barber in Indian Orchard, MA for many years until her retirement. She loved hunting and fishing with her husband, Bob, in Blandford, MA. She loved to sing, dance, and play the piano. Her witty sense of humor always made us laugh. She was a bird watcher, avid reader, a winning bingo player, and loved to play games. She also enjoyed gardening and being outside. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, and two sons, Charles and David Scharmann. She will be remembered by her surviving children, sons Kenneth Scharmann of Suffield, CT and Jeffery Scharmann of Southwick, MA, and daughters Daryl Wojcik of Feeding Hills, MA and Deborah Scharmann of West Springfield, MA and their families. She also leaves behind beloved grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Private services were held on Wednesday, April 17th at Tazzini Funeral Home in Springfield, MA.
