Dorothy Ginty Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Logan Funeral Home, Inc. - Exton on Dec. 6, 2025.
Dorothy Ann Ginty passed away, surrounded by the love of family, on December 4, 2025, at the age of 76.
She was born on June 7, 1949, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Shirley (nee Stanton) McCarthy. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frank, and their four children, Meghan Ginty Graveley (Michael), Michael (Kimberly), Jim, and Tom (Janey), and their nine grandchildren, Sean (21), Colin (19), Maggie (15), Caden (15), Brenna (12), Emma (11), Lowen (7), Noah (5), and Finn (2.5 months).
She graduated from Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School in Brooklyn and made her career in the medical fi eld. In addition to being a certified EMT and certified Phlebotomist, Dorothy worked as a medical practice office manager for ten years and as an Emergency Room Registrar at Paoli Hospital for twenty-two years.
Dorothy was someone whose warmth and energy was felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, as she always kept her family and friends laughing.
She had a deep love of animals, all creatures great and small, but especially her dogs. She loved celebrating the holidays, especially St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, and Christmas. She never missed an opportunity to make any occasion as special and memorable as possible.
Dorothy raised her family in West Chester, and was a parent, grandparent, and parishioner in the Saints Philip and James Community, for almost forty years. The love and pride she had for her family was evident to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you consider making a donation in Dorothy's name to Brandywine Valley SPCA (bvspca.org).
