Marty Ginty

Marty M. Ginty of Ocean Grove, NJ and Key West, FL died peacefully at Jersey Shore Medical Center on Monday, July 21, 2025. She was 83.
Marty was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late William "Bill" M. Ginty Jr.
Born and raised in Pottsville, PA she was the daughter of the late Francis and Beatrice Moyer.
After graduating from Pottsville High School, Class of 1959, she went on to Bloomsburg State College where she met her future husband William Ginty. Later she received a Master's degree from Trenton State College. Employed as an English Teacher at Bristol Township Schools for 20 years, Marty continued there as a Guidance Counselor for 10 years. Marty was an avid reader and passionate lover of the Arts, especially film and Opera. She also sang in the Ocean Grove Auditorium Choir.
Marty and Bill raised their 3 children in Levittown and later in Newtown, where they lived for 40 years. While residing in Newtown, they owned an Antique Shop and Marty was active in the Newtown Historic Association and was a member of the Historic Architectural Review Board in Newtown Borough.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bill, her daughter, Karen, and her sister, Jayne.
Marty is survived by her loving sons William M. Ginty III and his wife Kristen, and Christopher Ginty. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Marty's family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 10:00AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00am in the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 South Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940. Her interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
