Dorothy Anne (Adams) Kratzke, 91, of Dent, MN passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in her home, surrounded by family. “Dot” was born to Harold and Dorothy (Kapaun) Adams on August 14, 1933 in Oakes, ND. On August 1, 1953 she was married to John R. Kratzke and over the next 14 years they were blessed with nine amazing children. Her faith and her family were always her top priorities. She is survived by seven of her children, 27 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and her younger brother Ray Adams. (She also loved the 29 spouses of her children and grandchildren as her own). Dot had such a positive outlook on life and loved being outside. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and cards, doing puzzles, reading, and listening to Polka Spotlight, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family, mowing her lawn, and raking the leaves. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John; two of her children, Jay and Deanna; and one great-grandchild, Tyree. Mom/Gramma Dot will be greatly missed, especially on holidays and after Mass on Sundays when everyone gathered at her house for brunch.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Memorial Mass at 11:00 on Monday, November 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dent, MN. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Henry's Area School.
