On March 8, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul, Dorothy Louise Lawrence, 84, passed away in Salisbury, Maryland.  Her life, filled with warmth and kindness, touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dorothy was born on October 30, 1939, in Davidsonville, Maryland, where she spent her early years surrounded by love and laughter.  She pursued education diligently and obtained an Associate's Degree from Anne Arundel Community College.  Dorothy went on to have a fulfilling career and retired from the State of Maryland as an Income Tax Revenuer.  Her dedication and work ethic were truly admirable.

Outside of her professional life, Dorothy found joy in simple pleasures such as knitting and crocheting.  Her creativity knew no bounds, and she poured her heart into every stitch, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished for generations to come.

Family was at the center of Dorothy's universe.  She shared 45 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Michael R. Lawrence.  Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Jack and Mark Lawrence .  Her family continued to grow with the arrival of grandchildren, including Melissa Diaz, Stephanie Hardesty, Marcus and Zachary Lawrence, whom she adored beyond measure. The light of her life shone even brighter with the presence of great-grandchildren - Alissa, Manuel, Brooks, Noel, Jason, Mya, Sawyer, and Kohen.

Dorothy is now reunited with her loved ones who passed before her: her parents - Philamina and Leonard Bender, and brothers - Leonard, George, and Robert Bender.  Though she may be physically gone, the memories shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those she left behind.

The journey of life is not about the years we spend but the love we give and receive.  And in that regard, Dorothy Louise Lawrence's journey was one filled with compassion, kindness, and unwavering love.  May she rest in eternal peace knowing that her legacy of love will endure forever.
