Ardeth Julia Geis, 94, of Odenton, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Clemence and Julia Herold; beloved husband, Harold Geis, Jr.; devoted son, Michael Harryman; and her dear companion, Edwin Junkerman.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Robert Scriba, Jr.; cherished grandsons, Robby Scriba and Aaron Scriba; her devoted sister, Nancy Leitner; dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, including Betty Budahazy and Peggy Hill.

Ardeth was a receptionist and switchboard operator at Tower Federal Credit Union in Laurel. She retired at the age of 84 after 30 years working at TFCU.

Ardeth was kind, compassionate, loyal, and resilient. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed dancing, Frank Sinatra music, duckpin bowling, and playing cards. She loved animals and shared her home with many treasured pets over the years.

She absolutely adored her family and friends and loved spending time with them. Ardeth was a special lady who will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the American Heart Association, Hospice of the Chesapeake, St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, or The Maryland SPCA.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel.
