Dorothy Michelle (Ganga) McCoy, 68, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at McLaren Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Born on November 1, 1957, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ladonna Jane (Ganga) Smith and Antonio Jovan Ganga. Step-father: Warren Fails, whom was an integral part in her life and her children's lives.
Dorothy was one of several siblings including, but not limited to her brother Jerry Giancola, Ray Ganga, and her sister, Libby Krzyzanowski. Patty Teeples, a best friend to Dorothy, whom is like a sister. Throughout her life, Dorothy has shared meaningful relationships with three partners: the late Ronald Lee Polk, Ronald Wilson, and the late Harry McCoy Sr., whom she shared her later years and family name.Dorothy's life was enriched by the love and laughter of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her eight children: Kimberly Jane (Ganga) Clemons (Larry), Amy Marietta (Ganga) Sheets (Joseph Sr.), Ronald Bradford Ganga (Clisha), Gabriel Lee Ganga (Jamie), Courtney Antonette Ganga (the late Trevor), Megan Elizabeth Wilson, Theresa Galloway, Sarah Ashley (McCoy) Ranta (Thomas), and Harry James McCoy (Melissa)
Grandchildren: Christina (Ganga) Lizotte (Dennis), Ashley (Bennett) Cline (Chris), Allyse (Downs) Diepenhorst (Aaron), Malcolm Downs, Joseph Sheets Jr. (Ashley), Olivia Sheets, Ronnie (mother: Mershe Gebi), Isaiah, Elijah, Zariah, Tuviah,Taliah, Elanah, (Ganga), Brooklyn, Hallie, Christian (Ganga), Marissa Peninngton, Eli Becker, Gracee Galloway, Eva Hough, Maddox and Millania Ranta, Josiah and Baylor MCcoy.
She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Cruz, Zoè, Roman Lizotte; Carter, Caiden, Conner Cline; Ada, Amira, Adric Diepenhorst; Xaundra Downs; Adrianna, and Aaliyah Sheets.
Dorothy's laughter, kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her. She was a woman of deep compassion and resilience who always put her loved ones first and had an open door and arms for whomever was in her presence.
Dorothy will always be remembered for the unconditional love she gave to her family. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion touched each of our lives in countless ways. She will be deeply missed. We will carry on her legacy by honoring the values she held dear-putting family first and always looking out for one another with love and compassion.
Above all else, Dorothy loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than anything else in their world. They are her heart, her joy, and the center of her universe.
A celebration of life services will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memories and stories be shared in honor of Dorothy's life and legacy.
