Dorothy Mae Mickelberg

Dorothy Mae Mickelberg, 97, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Gold Pine Home in Bemidji, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring. Interment will be at the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
She was born on July 20, 1928, in Onalaska, WI, the daughter of Albert and Johanna (Gilbertson) Bratberg. She was raised and educated in Holmen, WI, graduating from Holmen High School. She married Laddie Mickelberg on August 8, 1947, in Holmen, WI. Dorothy and Laddie had four children and Dorothy was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed bowling and competed in bowling leagues. She was a gardener, who grew flowers and vegetables at their home. She radiated joy, and everyone was always welcome in her home. She loved to make her family and friends happy. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Rod Will for going above and beyond in caring for Dorothy, and her three friends Donna, Pat, and Bobbi, who were always there for her.

She was preceded in death by her: parents, her husband Laddie, granddaughter Jennifer Mickelberg, Sons-in-law Eugene Marty, Jim Scheid, daughter-in-law Elsa Mickelberg, brothers-in-law Gordon Mickelberg, Richard Mickelberg, sister-in-law Jean Gullickson and son Mark's significant other Nancy Wallick.
