Dorothy Louise Murray 91 of Salem, Ohio went to be with Jesus on July 28, 2025. She was born November 26, 1933 in Hibbs, PA to the late John Donald Burrie and Mary Burrie Norman. She was a 1952 graduate of McClelland town high school in PA. Dorothy was formerly employed at Alliance Community Hospital in the materials management department.
Surviving are her children whom she loved very much, John of Euclid, Ohio, Bill Jr., of Alliance, Ohio, Kimberly (Douglas) Schaffer of Salem, Ohio and Robert of Twinsburg, Ohio. She was a loving granny to all her grandchildren whom she will miss very much, Christy Uyselt, Chelsie (Kenny) McCool, Brandon and Heather Murray and Marceena (Ahmed) Abed. She also leaves behind her two great-grandchildren that call her Gi-Gi, Cole McCool and Sami Abed, whom she adored very much. Dorothy also had a sister, Beverly (Bernie) James of Masontown, PA; along with many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy appreciated all of her special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Murray; parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Marucci and Donna Miske; two brothers, Clyde and Bill Burrie.
She enjoyed watching her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. She liked bowling, sewing, quilting and playing skip-bo with her family. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all.
A big thank you to the pastors and prayer team at Faith Family Church and her favorite hospice pastor, Freddie Rodriguez. Private graveside services will follow cremation. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park next to her husband, Bill. Condolences and special memories of Dorothy can be shared with her family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
