Dorothy Marie Ledbetter Pace, born on 26 February 1934, passed away peacefully after a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to family. Dorothy married Jessie Lawson Pace on 3 September 1954 at Springhill Church in Longview, Texas, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned more than seven decades.

Dorothy spent most of her life in White Oak, Texas, before residing in Midlothian, Texas for the past three years. She was cherished for her kindness, strength, and unwavering commitment to her loved ones.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jessie Lawson Pace, her son Joe David Pace and daughter-in-law Patricia Pace, her daughter Pam Pace Newsom and son-in-law Richard Newsom. Dorothy's legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren: April Wilcox and David, David Pace and Trina, Callie Binford and Jared, and Cole Newsom and Rachel, and her great-grandchildren: Jayson Binford, Jaxsen Binford, Jolie Binford, Tinley Wilcox, Colton Wilcox, Daniel Pace, and James Pace.

Dorothy will be remembered for her warmth, grace, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She was also the most loving and caring Aunt to her nieces and nephews, always making them feel special and deeply cherished. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Celebration of life will be held at East Mountain Baptist Church, 315 E. Mountain Rd N; Gilmer, TX 75645 on December 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM
