Dorothy May Pfifer, 96, of Niles, passed away at her home on Friday, February 10, 2023.
Dorothy was born on March 1, 1926, to the late Theodore and Clara (Keene) Hester in Ava, Illinois. After graduating from high school, Dorothy went on to wed William Pfifer. Together the couple had one son, William.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and four siblings.
Dorothy is survived by her son, William (Trina) Pfifer of Niles; grandson, Shad (Ally) Pfifer of Niles; great-grandchildren, Maddie Pfifer of Niles and Dalton (Ke'alohi) Akeakamai of Las Vegas; niece, Cheryl (Mike) Lau of Arizona; nephew, Jim Syson of Arizona; great-niece, Katie Lau of Oregon; great-nephew, Christopher Lau of Chicago; and friend, Amy Ritchie of Niles.
In keeping with the family's wishes, Dorothy has been cremated and they will be remembering her privately.
