Dorothy Marilyn Powers of Maybrook, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Montgomery. She was 76.
The daughter of the late Earl Turner and Gale Clifford, she was born March 4, 1949, in Walden, NY.
Dorothy worked as a plant manager for CC Industries, Newburgh, NY. She was a kind, caring, woman who somehow managed to blend a large, extended family. We have all felt embraced by her and will carry her in our hearts.
She loved the Lord. In her retirement she enjoyed vacationing at the beach and traveling abroad with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the holidays, going to church, Bible study, crafting and going to paint and sips.
She was the widow of Luther A. Powers.
Dorothy is survived by daughters Cindy Spagnoli (Craig), Linda Vandermark (Jeremy), Lisa Lopez (Bobby); son Daniel Powers (Dianne);13 grandchildren Jared, Jacob, Jace, Victoria, Marilyn, Roberto, Ethan, Michael, Christopher, Suzanne, Danny, Ian, Allison; 9 Great Grandchildren; sisters Gale, Linda, Donna, Kathy; brothers Tony and Mike.
Along with Luther and her parents she was predeceased by brothers Skip and James.
Visitation will take place Saturday, October 18, 2025, 11am-1pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.
A service will follow at the funeral home at 1:30pm.
Burial will be at New Hurley Cemetery, Wallkill, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
