Dorothy (Ditty) Rowland
I had just found out a few weeks ago that a good friend of mine, Dwayne Rowland had passed away quite a while ago. And now Dorothy his wife passed away.
Both were good people from the East Haddam, MacaMoodus section .Their Families and others were proud of a town of many good Americans!
They were parents of three of the greatest kids you could ever get to know-
The beautiful Jennifer, my goddaughter, a fighter by nature we all know! If she finds a path to the law and/ or politics she will help many make things right, this state could use a young lady like this.
Son, William, who as a young man, found his passion for Judeo Christian values. It is his true path, and we hope he finds his way to it. We need a fourth century man like Bishop Saint Nicholas of Myra. If there was ever a time for advocates for young folks, that time is now. T are all in danger and he has the courage to try!
Their oldest (Eric The Red) A military hero ,with his Wonderful Wonderful Wife Jen (Carta)Rowland who helped him every inch of the way. That´s why Ditty and Duane loved her so much.
I write about the kids because, along with their special four grandchildren, is what they lived for! It gave them hope and this is their legacy. This was their life.
Dorothy was always focused on helping their kids! I remember her dancing with her baby around a small campfire for the longest time. She was so happy. It was all they had at the time, and all they wanted!
She was there for Duane at his worse time in his life, when their nephew young Brian Fritz passed, a bad moment for all. They got through it together.
Duane was a lot of fun, a joke master, and by the way he invented the double punch line. When he told a joke he just repeated the punchline and it worked. Try it. Carson and Hope did!
Many of us have relationships that are like shooting stars -they burn hot, and then disappear! Then there´s Ditty and
Duane´s. It was more like the North Star, up there every nite as a shining light in the skies, forever there.
They were good simple folks! All about their love for God, for friends, and family! You could count on Duane and Dorothy to be always grateful. We need more folks like them!
Thanks Guys!
