Dorothy (Dottie Cramer) L. Sanders, 94, of Fremont, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at St. Catherine's Manor of Fostoria, Fostoria, OH.
Dottie was born in Tiffin, Ohio on June 4, 1931 to Adrian & Ethel (Buto) Cramer. Dottie was a graduate of Columbian High School in the class of 1950, Tiffin, Ohio. On June 29, 1952 she married Ernest (Ernie) L. Sanders in Tiffin, Ohio.
Dottie was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Clyde, Ohio where she enjoyed singing in the Church Choir for over 8 years and served on the Worship Committee. She was secretary at the Conservatory Hall of Music, Heidelburg College from 1950 to 1952. She also worked for Drs. Monahan & Wilson from 1952 to 1954 and worked 28 years for Dr. Eugene Dierksheide and numerous physicians at Women's Medical Center in Fremont, Ohio. She was an honorary member of Chapter # 189 of the Eastern Star, a member of the former Sweet Adeline's Northern Buckeye Chorus. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Blood Mobile, life member of Tiffin Columbian Alumni Association and volunteered for ProMedica Home Health and Hospice of ProMedica Hospital. She was honored for being Hospice Volunteer of the year for the State of Ohio in Columbus, Ohio, November 2008. She will be remembered for her warm personality and smile. She loved working in her yard, reading, counted cross stitch, traveling, helping others and being with friends and family.
Dottie was proceeded in death by her husband Ernie in 2008, her Daughter-in-Law, Luann Sanders, in 2020, and her parents in 1953.
Dottie is survived by Son Mark A. (Jennifer) Sanders, Tiffin, Ohio, Granddaughter Heidi M. (Kyle Looney) Sanders, and Great-Granddaughter Raeann Looney all of Beavercreek, OH, as well as Cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers it is requested all donations in memory of Dottie be to the First United Methodist Church, Clyde, Ohio, Hospice of ProMedica Hospital, Sandusky County Humane Society, Back to the Wild (Castalia, OH) or of donor's choice. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, OH 43420. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.

I was so very sorry to learn of the loss of Dottie. I had met her thru her friend Kathy Matthews and we became instant friends. Such a kind compsssionate soul. My deepest sympathy to all of her family and friends. Rest Easy Dottie and I´ll see you on the other side one day soon.
