Dorothy Shumaker Obituary
Born May 13, 1949 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late, John and louise (Henson) Gatrell. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Percy L. Shumaker, Sr.; a son, Percy L. Shumaker, Jr.; a daughter, Wanda Long; four brothers, John, Richard, Leroy and Eddie Gatrell and one sister, Christine "Sissy" Robinson.
Mrs. Shumaker was a homemaker and her family meant everything to her.
She is survived by a son, James G. "Jimmy" Shumaker( Dee Vaughn-Wetzel); five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; three brothers, Greg, Ray and Gene Gatrell; two sisters, Nancy Shumaker and Betty Cannon and a sister in law, Linda Shumaker.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
