Our most adored and cherished Dorothy Louise Slotte Borrowman peacefully left this earthly life and returned to the presence of her Heavenly Parents in the early hours of March 1, 2023, just one week shy of her 85th birthday.

Dorothy was born on March 7, 1938, at 113 Carr Fork in Bingham Canyon, Utah. She is the eldest daughter to Paul and Lucile Slotte and a loving sister to her two younger siblings Frances and Pauline. Because of the steep hills in Carr Fork that made it dangerous, Dorothy never learned to ride a bicycle. She grew up in Bingham, Utah, and graduated with honors from Bingham High School in 1956. Dorothy’s employment as a collections agent for GMAC took her from Utah to Idaho, and it was during this time that she met and fell in love with her sweetheart of 58 years, Blaine Rolf Borrowman. They were married October 1, 1964 in Idaho Falls, and later sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. They are each other’s very best friends and their love has and will continue to last through all eternity. Together, they were blessed with and raised their two children Ann Louise and Roger Blaine in Midvale, Utah. After their children were raised and had families of their own, they moved to West Point, Utah, where Dorothy lived the remainder of her life.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dorothy served and loved the Lord all the days of her life. She magnified her calling to build up Zion and served in many callings and capacities, emulating the light and love of the Savior wherever she was asked to serve. Of the various callings she held, she especially enjoyed serving as the Relief Society President of the Midvale 5th Ward, as well as President over the Young Womens organization. She had a passion for genealogy, and she and Blaine served as service missionaries and as Family History missionaries. Her example of enduring to the end will forever burn in the hearts of those who know and love her.

Dorothy was a spitfire. She was witty, funny, and she loved fiercely and unconditionally. All of her nurses adored her, and made sure we knew it too. She was glamorous and loved a good red lipstick moment, felt her best after a fresh shampoo set, and especially enjoyed having her nails painted. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on through her family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that she is pain-free, reunited with countless loved ones, and that she is watching over us.

She is survived by her sweetheart and loving husband Blaine Rolf Borrowman, daughter Ann (Mike) Kutterer, sister Pauline (Roy) Walker, seven grandchildren and their respective spouses, six great-grandchildren, and countless extended family members including nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Lucile Slotte, sister Frances Drew, and son Roger Borrowman.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at Russon Mortuary, 1585 West 300 South, Syracuse, UT. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 2:00 PM.
