Dorothy A. (Lachance) Storms, 85 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Jewish Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Oscar and Helen (Bracewell) Lachance. She graduated from St. Peter’s High School and has lived in Worcester all her life. Dorothy worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital as a personal care assistant for 43 years
before her retirement. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino and bingo.
Dorothy’s husband, Charles Storms predeceased her. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Miller and her husband Paul of Worcester; a brother, Roger Lachance of Leicester; a sister, Beverly Hickey of Worcester; a grandson, Matthew Miller of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son, Stephen Brouillard; a sister, Kathryn Kender.
Dorothy’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Jewish
Healthcare Center for the outstanding care and compassion they gave her during her time with them.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon immediately followed by her memorial service at 12:00 noon at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.
