Dorothy (Dottie) Edna Williamson, born on October 28th, 1943, in Plattsburg, NY, passed away peacefully on October 24th, 2025, in Darien, GA, just four days shy of her 82nd birthday. A devoted mother, beloved sister, and cherished grandmother, Dorothy's warmth and kindness touched everyone around her.

Dorothy was the beloved daughter of the late George and Alice Pickney. A homemaker, her life was a testament to love, creativity, and family. Her passion for arts and crafts, particularly wreath-making and floral design, brought joy and beauty to her home and community. Dorothy was also an avid sports enthusiast who admired athleticism and dedication. With her wealth of knowledge on all things sports-related, she was particularly passionate about the Georgia Bulldogs, never missing a game and being well-versed in the latest stats.

Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Brent Nessmith (with his wife, Cori), Amanda Lida, and Debbie Stafford, She will also be dearly missed by her sister, Gail Hutchins, and her cherished 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was also known for her special bond with her nieces, Andrea Breault and Claire Robinson. Her home was graced by three loyal dogs, Rudy, Minnie, and Bella, who were her constant companions.

Dorothy's legacy of love extends beyond her family, with her laughter and generosity enriching the lives of her nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In honor of Dorothy, in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your favorite animal rescue or a Chihuahua Rescue of your choice, reflecting Dorothy's affection for animals and her compassion for all living beings.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker McCullough Funeral Home-Garden City Chapel, with a memorial service planned for a later date to celebrate Dorothy's extraordinary life.
