Dorothy Elizabeth Yoder, 81, Cowgill, MO., passed away on November 10, 2025, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, MO.

Dorothy was born on July 14, 1944, in Goshen, Indiana, to Chris and Ida (Miller) Yoder. She worked as a cartographer for M.J. Harden for many years. She married Leigh Knudsen in 1972 and they were married for many years before he preceded her in death. Dorothy lived in Saudi Arabia for 30 years before moving to Cowgill 2 years ago.

Dorothy was funny and had a great sense of humor, enjoyed helping others, and she always had a positive outlook on life. In high school she was the baton twirler/majorette for her school band. Her all-time favorite musician was Elvis Presley, and she deeply loved animals and her pets. She also collected cookbooks and loved to cook. Her daughter noted that her mother had the most unique laugh that was like no one else. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, her husband, Leigh; an infant daughter, Lisa Christine; and her siblings-Lula Yoder, Geneva Farley, Ed Yoder and Darlene Johnson; cousins; and her favorite pets, Dell and Kranston.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Collins, Cowgill; grandchildren-Ashley Farley, Bryan Graybill and Dorothy Osborn; and 3 great-grandchildren-Jayce Graybill, Xander Osborn and Vaida Osborn.

Donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to a charitable organization of the donor's choice which would help people whether it be with food, clothing, or any bills.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, MO.
