Dorsey Leon Bingham Jr., age 78, of Hillsboro, passed away May 26, 2025 at Soin Medical Center. He was born the son of the late Dorsey Leon Bingham, Sr. and Sophie (McDearmon) Bingham on November 28, 1946 in Newbern, Tennessee. Dorsey was a loving man, strong, brave and compassionate. He made friends wherever he went. He was always full of jokes and stories; he loved making people laugh. He treated everyone like family. Dorsey could often be heard saying, "It doesnt cost anything to be good to people and make them smile." He said it was like bringing a little bit of sunshine to their lives. He loved his family dearly and loved talking about the good times. Dorsey was so loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all. He is survived by his children, Lisa (Chuck) Bingham Hayes of South Carolina, Dorsey "Dion" (Shannon) Bingham III of Hillsboro, and Andria "Andi" (Adam) Ewing of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Joseph Smith, Preston Smith, Ashley (Brad) Bowen, Michael Hillman, Cody (Emma) Bingham, Landon Bingham, Taylor Garringer, Alena Shelton, and Ashlynn Ewing; and great grandchildren, Blakelynn Bingham and Rory Bingham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tabitha Smith; wife, Ruby Bingham; second wife, Dolores Lewis-Bingham; and siblings, David Bingham and Diane Brovillette.
