Gregory Edward Bingham (73), our beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. He was born on March 10, 1952, in Ogden Utah to Dale and Ramona Bingham. He married his sweetheart, Susan Thompson, on April 15,1976, in the Ogden Utah temple. As the fifth of nine children, he spent his childhood working on the family Bingham watermelon farm where he learned many valuable life lessons. He graduated from Roy High School and then served in the Central America mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Upon completion of his mission, he attended Weber State College where he met the love of his life, Susan Thompson. Greg and Susan raised three children in West Jordan, Utah, where Greg served as Bishop and Stake President. He led and served the congregations and communities he lived in with humility, humor, and love. He influenced countless lives for the better. He stood strong in the face of religious persecution, harassment, and threats of violence against his family. He refused to hide or run away from evil and hate. Greg had a great sense of humor, often using it to connect with others, get through difficult times, or to diffuse tense situations. He understood how important and imperfect people are. He set an example for his family to be patient with others and never to judge people by their worst day. He loved his family and worked hard to provide a comfortable and happy home. He loved spending time with family and eating good food. Jazz games, BYU football, Star Trek, shooting guns, movie nights, Jack Bauer, pizza, nachos and ice cream brought us together and were the mainstays of our lives. He battled cancer and other health challenges with courage, resilience, and optimism. Even when his body was breaking, he put others first. He joked with and took interest in the lives of those around him. Greg is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Susan Thompson Bingham. Children; Michael (Carole) Bingham, Rob (Maria) Bingham, and Lori (Seth) Lohmeyer. Siblings; Barbara (Ned) Willie, Eileen (Jack) Clawson, Stephen (Kay) Bingham, Madalyn (Robert) Taylor, Virginia (Gary) Willden, Deborah (Steven) Montgomery, Louise (Roger) Carroll, Sterling (Lisa) Bingham; seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His legacy lives on in the way we love, serve, and show up for others. Rest well – until we meet again.
