Dorthy Carolyn Circles

Dorthy Carolyn Circles (Aunt Darlin'), 87, of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed from this life to her Heavenly Home in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 10, 2026, at her residence. She was born on February 14, 1938 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Willie Clyde Thomas and Letha Marie (Hanson) Thomas.

Carolyn, as she was affectionately known by all, was a longtime member of Nevill's Chapel Baptist Church and was retired after many years of being a self-employed bookkeeper and homemaker. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor and privilege of knowing and loving her.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Marie Thomas; her husband, Edward "Ed" Ray Circles; and her daughter, Angela Circles; brothers, Robert Thomas and Billy Thomas; and sister, Elaine Harkey.

Left to cherish Carolyn's memory is her loving family: brothers, Charles and Suzi Thomas and Doyce Thomas; sisters, Margaret Shurbet and Jan Pierson; and nephew and niece, Tony and Rhonda Kittle all of Mount Pleasant, Texas. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews and extended family.

A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nevill's Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Shawn Findley and Bro. Glenn Griffith officiating. Greg Thomas, Scott Harkey, Thomas Harkey, Brandon Thomas, Steve Martin, Jason Martin, Brian Thomas, Chris Kittle, and Karl Thomas will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Nevill's Chapel Cemetery.
