87 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 12, 2025. Dorothy was born on August 20, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Merald and Dorothy Engel. She was a receptionist for Little Sisters of the Poor. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents and several sisters and brothers. She is survived by husband David R. Smith, daughter Mila Walker, grandchildren Sarah (Lewis) Hites and Jason Adams and great grandchildren Audrey, Layla and Addy Hites.
