Dorothy Mott Justis, 81, of Exmore, Virginia, passed away on January 12, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Leda Justis. A native of Jamesville, Virginia, Dot was born to the late Eddie Mott and the late Amelda Evans Mott. She was a devoted caregiver who touched the lives of countless families over the years through her childcare business, “Wee Shore Care,” in Painter, Virginia. Dot’s nurturing spirit and love for children left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She cherished time spent with her family at the beach cabin and created many treasured memories there. In her younger years, Dot was an avid water skier, embracing life on the water with joy and enthusiasm.

Dot is survived by her sister, Mary Lee Pase; her niece, Elizabeth Pase; her great-nephew, Zach Pase; and her great-niece, Rebecca Bailey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her niece, Cindy Pase.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Doughty Funeral Home, with Rev. Annette Marie Northan-Austin officiating.
