Dorothy Lovelace "Miss Dot" Norville, 89, of Mooresboro, died Friday, October 17, 2025.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband Blaine Hampton Norville; her daughter Teresa Ann Norville; and parents, Clifford Thurber Lovelace and Gazzie Lee Lovelace; her sister, Marjorie Street; and her brothers, Rev. Cecil Lovelace, E.N. Lovelace, Mal Lovelace, Wilbur Lovelace, Everette Lovelace, and Clarence Lovelace. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years, and was in the SOS Group. She had been a member of the Mountain View Quartet and was a charter member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She retired from Stonecutter after 35 years of service.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery Blaine Norville and son-in-law Mark Steward of Rutherfordton; her granddaughter, Shauna Bostic and her husband Gary of Mooresboro; her great grandchildren, Avery Bostic and his wife Autum of Forest City, and Morgan Bostic of Shelby; and her great great grandchildren, Abel Lee Page, Cora Avery Bostic, Lucas Blaine Page, and Deegan Rhett Bostic.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Monday, October 20, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The Rev. Stephen Matheny and Rev. Wayne Toney will officiate. Burial will be private in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 1 pm until 2:45 pm Monday in the church sanctuary prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, 397 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
