Dottie Arquitt Obituary
Dottie E. Arquitt, 74, passed away Wednesday morning, December 10th at Upstate Medical Center, in Syracuse.
She was born November 6, 1951, in Massena, NY, daughter of Bud and Dorothy Clark Davis. Her stepfather, Leo Varley, also played a substantial role in her upbringing. She graduated from Norwood Norfolk High School.
She married John P. Arquitt on January 22, 1979, in Hammond, NY.
Dottie was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, shopping, houseplants and was an animal lover.
Besides her husband, John, she is survived by three sons, David L. Brown, Jr., Tupper Lake, NY, Darin Brown, and John E. (Ashley) Arquitt, Hammond, NY and two daughters, Danielle (Tod) Youngs and Nicole (Robert) Galloway, both of Hammond, a brother, Michael (Ruth) Varley, Morristown, NY and a sister, Victoria (Bill) Perkins, Canton, NY; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Tim Varley.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 13th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Chippewa Bay Fish & Game Club, 1198 CR 6, Hammond, NY.
Memorial donations may be made in Dottie’s name to either the Hammond Fire Department or the Morristown Fire Department.
