Larry D. Bartlett, 80, Hammond, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 13th.
Larry was born on January 16, 1945, the son of Mazola (Robinson) Basford, and Larry (Cecile) Bartlett .He graduated from Redwood High School.
He married Bonnie Adele Willix on January 30, 1972 in Theresa, NY. The couple lived in the Rochester, NY area for much of their working lives. Mrs. Bartlett passed away on May 14, 2024.
Larry worked as an industrial painter for Stewart, Oliver & Holtz in Henrietta, NY. After retiring from that line of work, in 1985 the family moved back to the 1000 Islands area. Larry formed Bartlett Construction and helped many families. He was successful in that business for several years until his final retirement.
He loved all sports, especially the Buffalo Bills, basketball, and watching NASCAR racing.
Larry is survived by sons Larry Bartlett Jr., Rick Bartlett, Jerome (Stephanie) Bartlett, Rochester, NY, and Blaine Donithan, Florida; daughters Margaret (Joseph) Casey, and Tammy Bartlett (Gary Carmen), Redwood, NY; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A private burial will be held in Redwood Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
