Dottie Lou Green Walden, 75, of Marthaville, Louisiana, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at her home.
Dottie was born June 6, 1948, in Coushatta, Louisiana to Lloyd B. Green and Dorothy Bennette Green. She spent most of her life in Haughton, Louisiana. Dottie attended Haughton High School and after graduation, she then attended Commercial College of Shreveport. She was a member of the Pool League and Dart Team. Dottie loved to sing, make arts and crafts, put together puzzles, solve crypt codes, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was always the life of the party. She never met a stranger, and she always had a story to tell. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Dottie was full of laughter and fiercely protective of the ones she loved. She will be greatly missed, more than she ever could know.
Dottie is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Walden; her parents, Llyod B. Green and Dorothy Bonnette Green; 3 brothers, Junior Green, Jerry Green, and Richard Green.
Dottie is survived by her children, Alicia Perot and Bobby Joe Perot; her grandchildren, Eryn Sexton and husband D.J., Dusty Brown and fiancé Emily, Little Joe, and Caleb; siblings, Dixie Prather and husband Tim of Tulsa, OK, Angie Westra of Haughton, LA, and Ralph Green and girlfriend Billy Joe of Haughton; and great-grandchild, Emma Sexton.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 11 am. Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm with interment to at Forest Park Cemetery.
Special thanks to Dr. Harrington, Dr. San Pedrox, Christus Hospice nurse Terry Blagg, aids Brittany Debbie Purvis, Chaplin Austin Green, Dr. Khenna, call center; Superior Hospice, nurses Jennifer, Shanna Ebarb, Sarah Meshell, aid Donna Petty, social worker Brittany, Dr. Lau Chaplains. Also, a very special thanks to long-time caregiver, friend, and niece, Amber Sims, & great niece Emory Mae Sims. Dottie was very blessed to have such a supportive and caring team. Thank you so much to each and every one of you!
