Dotty Hoover

Dotty Hoover, 82, of Bloomingdale, passed away November 20, 2025, at her residence. Born November 22, 1942, in rural Rockville, she was the daughter of William E. Branson and Violet P. Blacketer Branson. She married James Larry Hoover on June 23, 1962, in Bloomingdale. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2012.
Dotty was a 1962 graduate of Turkey Run High School. She attended the Judson Baptist Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Dotty is survived by her son, Jamie Hoover (Marilynn) of Bloomingdale; granddaughter, Lexi Carr (Jake) of Mesa, Arizona; and grandson, Cade Hoover of Bloomingdale. Also surviving are her brother, Benny Branson (Karen) of Judson; several cousins, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Hoover; sister, Vonda Hedge; and nephew, Benny Branson Jr.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 23, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Poplar Grove Cemetery, 6591 N Marshall Road, Marshall, Indiana, with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville.
