Doug Robert Lett Age 85 of Council Bluffs passed away June 13, 2025. He was born June 14, 1939 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Kenneth, Sr. and Margaret (Greene) Lett. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and received a Farms Management degree from Iowa Western Community College after retiring from the Navy. He worked on the farm, owned Lett's Truck and A-Road Mini-Mart. Doug was a retired Navy veteran. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing, playing the Farming Simulator game and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Lett, Jr. and his wife Shirley; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Zumwalt and Larry Gerner and niece, Elyse Miller.
Doug will be greatly missed by his wife Minnie; sons, David Lett (Pam), Ronald Lett and Donald Lett; grandson, Hayden Lett; brother, Howard Lett (Peggy); sisters, Evelyn Zumwalt, Teresa Gerner and Denise Miller (Chub) many other family and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, June 20, 2025 at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
Funeral Service 2:00pm Saturday, June 21, 2025 also at the funeral home.
Graveside Service with military honors 1:30pm Monday, June 23, 2025 at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd. Omaha, Nebraska
