Doug Mizener of Green Forest, Arkansas was born February 12, 1942, to Elzie and Ruby (Thayler) Mizener in Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin. Doug passed away September 25, 2022, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 80.
Doug was a member of the Cowboy Church in Green Forest. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and spending time with family.
Doug was united in marriage to Barbara (Luckeroth) Mizener, his loving wife of 58 years, on October 18, 1963. He is also survived by his children Doug Mizener of Berryville, Roxane Banks and husband Troy of Arlington, South Dakota, Don Mizener of Joplin, Missouri, Dana Mizener of St. James, Missouri; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister Delores Byrd of Alabama; brother Dale Mizener and wife Bonnie of Bella Vista, Arkansas; stepsister Sandy Kozial of Ladysmith, Wisconsin; half-sisters Emma Phelps of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Bonnie Sinclair of De Pere, Wisconsin; step brothers Joe Bulwa of Florence, Arizona and Richard Schwartz of Carlyle, Illinois; along with numerous other family members and friends.
Doug is preceded by his parents Elzie and Ruby Mizener; sister Donna Mizener; stepsisters Beverly Schwartz, Fran Kinsey; stepbrothers Dennis Schwartz; half-sister Mary Gordon; stepmother Mary Ann Mizener.
Memorial services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, October 15, 2022, in Nelson's Green Forest Chapel. Memorial donations may be sent to the Cowboy Church, PO Box 883, Green Forest, AR 72616.
