Doug Schultz, 64, of Cushing, MN passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday April 12, 2024, at 11:00am at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter. There will be a visitation held on Thursday April 11, 2024, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the Baxter City Cemetery.
Doug was born to Wayne and Delores (Kruger) Schultz on March 10, 1960, in Owatonna, MN. Doug graduated from New Ulm High School in 1979. After graduating he obtained his associate degree from St Cloud Technical College. He worked in the environmental engineering field prior to joining the City of Baxter where he was an engineering tech for many years.
Doug was very talented in that he could fix anything. He loved spending time on the lake and loved being with family and friends. He was very social and out-going.
He is survived by his wife Tammy, children Katie, Kay (Jeffrey), Sammy, and William, his brother Dick (Barb), grandchildren Colton, Carley, Chloe, and Cayden, and great grandchildren Evelyn and Finnlei.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
