It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas E Adams, Sr. on September 30, 2024 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Doug was 79 and was born in Crestview, FL. He was a Retired USAF Master Sergeant, who proudly served our country in Vietnam. Later in life, he enjoyed planting his garden each spring and fishing every chance he got.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Marsha Adams; his 3 children, Joyce Norton, Wendy (Jeremy) Lomax, and Douglas (Heather) Adams Jr; his 8 grandchildren, Ryan (John) Harbaugh-Rickman, Lauren (Matthew) Francis, Miranda Rickman, Caitlyn (Crystal) Quinby, Connor Norton, Alexis Lomax, Cash Adams, Ellery Adams; his 2 great-grandchildren, Talula Rickman, Elliot Francis; his buddy, Beau; and his siblings, Judy Cadenhead and Mary Blankenship.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Adams; and his siblings, John, George, Jeanette, Ann and Betty.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the OSH MICU staff for their compassionate care.
No funeral services will be held per his wishes. A private celebration of his life will be held for family only.
