Douglas G. Allen passed away on December 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born on May 9, 1960 to Robert W. and Anne G. Allen in Macomb, IL.
Doug is survived by a brother Roger Allen of Evansville, IN, sisters Lynn Marlowe and Diane Meline both of Macomb, IL and Carol (Scott) Leonard of LaSalle, IL. He is also survived by nieces Kayla (Derek) Switzer, Kelsey Meline (Austin Church), Jaclyn Leonard, Erin Meline (Courtney), nephew Jay Leonard and Katie (Scott) Gloger; great nieces, Hannah Switzer, Charlie and Hadley Meline and great nephews, Logan Switzer, Garrik, Hagen and Tavin Warpenburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both sets of grandparents, a brother in infancy, 2 brothers-in-law, Rob Meline and Doug Marlowe.
Doug lived his entire life in Illinois. He belonged to the St. Paul parish in Macomb. A MHS graduate of 1978, he went on to WIU, also attending Northwestern University. He earned a Bachelors, Masters, and other post graduate work. He had worked at the LaSalle County R.O.E. office, Brown County Schools, and computer consulting independently. He loved being an uncle and was very proud of his nieces and nephews.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 on December 19, 2024 at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home. Ashes will be laid to rest privately. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Pauls Church. Please sign the guestbook at www.dodsworthfh.com.
