Douglas Bennie

Douglas Bennie, age 97, of Brunswick, OH, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1928, in Johnstone, Scotland.
Doug was a devoted family man who loved to play the lottery and take long, scenic car rides. He took great pride in caring for his lawn year-round. Doug retired from Ford Motor Company and later continued working with Van Dorn Demag.
He is preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Judith; his first wife, Elizabeth; his son, Douglas; and his brother, Peter.
Doug is lovingly remembered by his children, Anne (John) Sabetta, Scott (Ashley), and daughter-in-law, Stacy Bennie; his stepchildren, Frank (Sheila) Arthur, Kevin (Cindy) Arthur, Bill (Karen) Arthur, Kathi Thomas, and Karen (Chris) Cutre; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Justin (Mackenzie), Kyle, Christopher (Becca), Allison (Ryan), Rachel (Roger), Patrick (Rachel), Mark, Brad, Karli, Madeline, Nicole, Ashley (Tom), Kristen, Abigail (Will), Cameron, and Jordan; and his great-grandchildren, Layla, Isabelle, Eleanor, Levi, Connor, and Luke.
